IMPROVER LEVEL FURNITURE MAKER
JOB DESCRIPTION
The work will be a mix of manufacturing fitted and freestanding furniture in our Croydon workshop and on site fitting projects across London. You will be working on projects for the whole production process from start to finish including fitting alongside a more experienced maker.
This role would suit someone at the early stages of their career with some experience who is wanting to further their knowledge and abilities in the industry
This is a full time position with the opportunity for the right person to join our team on an ongoing basis.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE
- preferably experience of workshop environment including use of fixed woodworking machines (primarily panel saw, spindle moulder, planer thicknesser, edgebander) and hand held power tools
- preferably experience of site fitting projects and a building site environment
- at least 1 year working professionally making and fitting freestanding and fitted furniture with some knowledge of panel work, solid wood and veneering
- be based in South London / be able to reliably commute to the workshop and various projects around London
- be registered self employed
- good attitude and keen to learn whilst working on projects
- high quality of work and attention to detail
- ability to work as part of a team and able to use initiative
- good time management and ability to work to deadlines- motivated, punctual, reliable, team player with a strong work ethic and fluent spoken English
- own basic hand tool kit / drills and transport
- CSCS a bonus but not essential
