2024Client: Private clientDesign: Stuart Indge LtdProject architect: SAM Architects Category: Residential Project description: This contemporary, bespoke, shaker kitchen features solid and grain-matched, veneered Oak, floor-to-ceiling units housing integrated appliances, ovens and a wide larder unit with internal door-hung spice racks. Along with the other Oak elements, the reeded glass wall units are hand finished in a subtle white tinted oil. Internally, the base units and drawers of the kitchen are lacquered Oak veneer with a sprayed paint finish which contrasts beautifully against the Oak cabinetry. The combined bench seating and shelving unit acts as a room divider and houses more storage with&nbsp;lift-up seat sections. description: After producing a bespoke kitchen for a private residential client we were asked to design and produce a TV unit for their lounge. The unit was constructed to hang entirely on the wall and without a back, to appear lighter. Oiled Walnut veneer was used with the TV itself being concealed with bi-folding doors. A mix of solid and veneer Ash was used for the doors and external panels, with the paint finish allowing the grain to show through - adding texture to the finish. Internally, the cabinetry and drawers are lacquered Oak veneer. To contrast with the painted areas, the wall units were made with white-tinted Oak. In addition to the kitchen we made a banquette seating area with reeded Oak to mirror the reeded glass of the wall units. Reeded glass was also used in the 2 solid Oak sliding doors made for the pantry and hallway. Space was tight and with no natural light, the design and colours were kept bright and fresh. Mirror-image units were produced for ‘his and hers’ sides to the room, oiled Oak veneer cabinetry with lots of features such as internal drawers, pull-out shoe drawers and door-activated lighting. The doors were made from solid Oak with a reeded panel below the glass section. At 3m tall these were very much floor to ceiling, so a bespoke, solid Oak, rolling ladder was incorporated into the design to allow convenient access. &nbsp; Photography: Katie Anderson <img Residential Project description: We worked closely with the client and the architects, Yellow Cloud Studio, to produce this complete furniture fit out of a renovated Victorian terraced property. We fabricated and installed many items of furniture including the bespoke kitchen featuring a symmetrical main run of oak framed doors with cabinets housing appliances and storage that contrasts with the black cabinetry of the island. In the same room we also designed and produced the solid oak 8-person dining table to sit alongside a built-in bench seat with storage. An oak window seat / reading nook houses more storage. Moving upstairs we produced the bathroom furniture including a floating vanity unit in oak and a floor to ceiling concealed storage unit. description: We produced this contemporary take on an in frame kitchen to sit in the new extension designed by HoughtonBudd Architects for a 1927 built Arts &amp; Crafts inspired property. Working with the architects to realise their ideas for the kitchen we manufactured a run of white hand painted cabinets for either end of the room, one housing ovens and drawers and the other a large amount of full height storage and concealed drawers. In the centre of the room a large 3m long island in a contrasting blue features the sink, integrated appliances and more storage.
